When this service is needed
Disputes about walls, partitions and ceilings usually begin when the client notices unevenness, cracks, signs of dampness, poor plasterwork, deviations in surface planes or problems at junctions. In an expert examination, however, these must be described systematically.
An inspection under this service is often used when accepting renovation work, in a dispute with a contractor or after incidents when old and new damage must be distinguished.
Questions commonly addressed
- Which surface and structural defects are present at the time of inspection?
- In which rooms are they most pronounced?
- Are the problems confined to finishes, or are they associated with a deeper cause?
- What scope of rectification can be discussed with the contractor?
Practical situations
- cracks and stains appeared on the walls after renovation, and the ceiling has visible defects
- the contractor refuses to acknowledge unevenness and poor finishes
What you receive
The result is useful both for a formal claim and for a further acceptance inspection after the issues have been rectified. The client sees the defects collected and structured rather than as scattered photographs.
Photographs are used as thematic illustrations and do not relate to a specific client's case.
